As part of the cooperation in which joint technology and preparatory work began, Petrol Ofisi Group started to distribute and sell Chevron's automotive and industrial fuels under the Texaco brand. With the completion of the preparations, Petrol Ofisi plans to begin the production of Texaco branded lubricant products in Turkey in 2021.
Petrol Ofisi Group CEO Selim Şiper pointed out that the agreement also symbolized Chevron's trust in Turkey and Petrol Ofisi Group. Chevron Lubricants President Colleen Cervantes expressed her satisfaction with the beginning of a new era in the cooperation established with Petrol Ofisi Group 70 years ago.
The agreement between Petrol Ofisi Group, the leader of the Turkish fuels sector, and Chevron, one of the world's leading fuel and lubricant companies, covers a long-term strategic partnership. This collaboration includes the licensing, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of Chevron's lubricant products under the Texaco brand.
Within the framework of this cooperation, Petrol Ofisi Group and Chevron initiated joint technology and production preparation studies. Simultaneously, Petrol Ofisi Group starts the distribution and sales of passenger cars, heavy vehicle lubricants, and industrial products under the Texaco brand of Chevron, with 16 thousand sales points common all over Turkey. After the preparations are completed, it is planned to start the production of Chevron lubricant products in Turkey in 2021. Petrol Ofisi Group will also carry out the distribution and marketing of all manufactured products under the Texaco brand.
This agreement between Chevron and Petrol Ofisi is not the first collaboration between the two brands. Petrol Ofisi Group has been handling the distribution and marketing of Chevron's lubricants in Turkey since 2014. The mutual trust and satisfaction from this successful cooperation have been one of the main factors that enabled the long-term agreement between Petrol Ofisi Group and Chevron to come to life.
