Within the framework of our environmental sustainability efforts, we have committed to reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030, and to achieving net zero by 2050. In line with the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) resolution of “Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050,” of which we are a member, we support sustainable aviation, and since March 2022, we have been supplying Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel™ (SAF), which reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80%, to aircraft operated by Turkey’s leading airlines. We aim to increase our supply volume in this area threefold in 2023 and up to tenfold in 2024. With our PO Marine brand, a leader in the maritime sector, we carried out Turkey’s first supply of the new generation marine fuel Very Low Sulfur Oil (VLSFO) under IMO 2020 standards. With Adaptech technology, we use 25% recycled plastic material in the renewed Maxima packaging. Our V/Max fuels with Active-3 technology provide both ecological and economic benefits through their special formulations. In our pioneering PO Gaz project in Turkey, we also support and promote the use of LPG, which is recognized worldwide as clean energy, by offering a 100% guarantee on fuel quality and full delivery with the Fuel Safety System – YES. Under our agreement with Borusan EnBW Energy, high-speed electric charging stations to be installed by Borusan EnBW will be available at approximately 2,000 of our stations. Thanks to the project, each charging point at the stations will also prevent nearly 4,500 tons of carbon emissions. With our s-POwer initiative, we are reducing our carbon footprint by installing solar panels at all our company-owned stations, on the roof of our lubricant factory, and on the grounds of our terminals.
